The city of Eugene, in Lane County, prides itself as being one of the most livable cities in the United States. Eugene is known as Tracktown USA and the Emerald City. The Eugene/Springfield metro area is the second largest city in the state with a population of over 250,000 people.

Eugene is a college town and is the home of the University of Oregon and the Oregon Ducks. Its relaxed atmosphere attracts many people and businesses to the area. Eugene is famous for its bike paths, jogging trails, gardens and river walks. Eugene has over 70 parks and recreation facilities for your leisurely pleasures. Natural amenities include the Willamette River running through the city, with Skinners and Spencer Butte framing the city. Like many areas of Oregon, lumber and wood products remain a major industry of Eugene. The area has become diverse with the addition of software companies, chip companies and other professional businesses. In general, the area is clean and comfortable with a moderate climate. For the shoppers in the bunch, Eugene offers The Downtown Mall, Valley River Center, Oakway Center, Gateway Mall, and 5th Street Public Market. For the unique items you have been looking for, the Saturday Market outdoor marketplace is open April through November. Residents and visitors also enjoy the twice weekly outdoor Lane County Farmers Market.

For those venturing out, the Oregon Coast is about one and a half hours to the west. Skiing, fishing and camping is to the East. Portland, the largest city in Oregon, is two hours away to the north and a major airport is available to take you on further excursions.

Oregon offers some of the finest golf courses in the nation for your golfing enjoyment. Eugene hosted the USA Olympic Trials Track Meet in 2008 and will again in 2012.  Whatever your pleasure, we are sure that Eugene has something for everyone!
